It Pro
It pro is very user friendly, easy to use and understand. I like that you can really get down and filter out the things you don't need, or even make your list very focused on only the things that you do need. It has a general info choice, and with that a bunch more choices with that, which could be very useful in the beginning or a project. Or even if you are not sure what it is that you are looking for. You can look for only certain authors, or just publishers. This would definitely be a great site if you really know what information you are looking for.
Google Books:

- Citation information for the book: (author, title, city of publication, publisher, publication date)
Kevin J. Connolly, Law of Internet Security and Privacy, Aspen Law & Buisness, 2004
- What clues does Google Books provide that lead you to believe this book is trustworthy?
The synopsis of the book states that it is from a legal stand point and that its a reliable guide. It is also published by a company called Law and Business.
What did I take from all of this: I think that all the research tools that I used here were very helpful. I prefer to use the library resources because I know that they are reliable resources They all have the basic beginning concept with the initial search, I even found the same book on a couple of the sites. For the sake of the assignment I did not just use the same book every time They are all very similar to each other. I like how easy they are to use, if anything was to change I would do that same as I always do and would need to adapt and get use to the new way. Like I said I like to use the computers at Clark. I think that It Pro is pretty nifty I have never seen that one before today, but very nice, easy to handle and convenient.
Hi, Cassandra:
ReplyDeleteThank you for completing your assignment. You didn't include the title and author of the books you selected from the Cannell Library and Summit but you description points to them being credible. If you look for subject headings in book catalogs you can zero in on your topic whereas full text searching is easier but can give results that aren't truly relevant.
Cheers,
Andrea
